తజ్మిన్ బ్రిట్స్

Tazmin Brits is a South African right-handed opening batter and wicket-keeper who plays for the South Africa women's cricket team. Previously a javelin thrower who won gold at the 2007 World Youth Championships, she switched to cricket after a road accident ended her Olympic aspirations. Brits made her international cricket debut in 2018 and has become a key player for South Africa in both ODI and T20 formats, noted for her resilience and ability to perform under pressure.

  • National Record: Became the first Proteas woman to record three consecutive ODI centuries.

  • Career Best: Scored a career-best 171 not out in an ODI against Pakistan in September 2025, the second-highest individual score for the Proteas Women.

  • Tournament Performance: Was the leading run-scorer for South Africa in the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, including a match-winning 68 in the semi-final to guide South Africa to their first-ever final.
